Tong Yang Plus (hereafter referred to as T.Y.P) is a barbeque and shabu-shabu restaurant, probably the largest chain in the Philippines. They are from the same group that operates Vikings Luxury Buffet in SM City Cebu, so it is without a doubt the same buffet format loved by the public. TYP opened a branch in SM Seaside City early this year and boy was it huge! It thinks it would a hit with families and groups of friends to have grill and hotpot experience altogether.

The restaurant takes on a Jiufen Street-inspired interiors (read: Jiufen is a small village in the mountains outside Taipei, Taiwan). But while the actual location had predominantly Chinese architectural elements, the store toned it down. You will now see a mix of oriental and modern elements. The textures, colors, materials, and finishes are contrasting but still distinctly Chinese anyway.
